The Inspectors missed this one earlier and had to may one more trip.

The basement ceiling had to come down to do the rough in plumbing. Looks like the Inspectors were here too!

Friday-Monday, May 28-31, 2010 - The Inspection

The lights are roughed in and the insulation replaced in inside wall and new insulation installed in outside wall.









A new small soffit was installed to hold the exhaust pipe for the hood over the future cooktop.

Then came the inspecters. Looks like they approved the work so far.......

Wednesday, May 26, 2010, Day 3 Plumbing Day

Not a very exciting day today. Just roughing in the plumbing.
Also Thursday morning starting roughing in the electrical.

Such a rough day, Buckeye was tired and stretching from all the rough work.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010, Day 2 Deconstruction

Last Sunday, the Pantry was bare. Today the kitchen is bare. I guess it's easier to start over.

We have a huge dumpster located in our driveway. Dumpster diving anyone?

Monday, May 24, 2010-Day 1 Deconstruction by Hurst

This is what we came home to Monday! No ceiling, no walls and almost no floor. Oh well, we're making progress.

We can enter the closed rooms through a smart zipper.

Brutus was not a happy cat and was telling us so! He says 'Where's the kitchen? Who are these people making all this noise. I can't take my all day nap.'

Monday, May 17, 2010 - Short Delay

Due to a delay in receiving the cabinet the revised start date is scheduled for next Monday, May 24, 2010. Stay tuned for details starting next Monday.

After cabinets removed 5/9/10

There are now no cabinets in our kitchen thanks to Bob and Jon. Looks pretty bare. No more cooking in the kitchen. The Laundry room is our 'temporary' kitchen. The cats are very confused.

We decided to take down the cabinets. Here is the first phase done by Doug before Bob and Jon started.
